The palm branch, or palm frond, is a symbol of victory, triumph, peace, and eternal life originating in the ancient Near East and Mediterranean world.
Every Wrigley Run participant is a Frond or a branch, a part of the larger tree that is the event and the community at large. We all grow off of the core tree and enhance it as we grow. The Palm Fronds club members return each year because they are committed to our event and are the most honored members of our community.
Once you have done the event two or more years you become a Palm Frond member. Members are honored each year with a special gift. You can see a photo below of people holding the letters. Each year you will get another letter until you spell out the word Wrigley.
You only qualify if you do the event in consecutive years. If you miss a year, you start over. The Palm Fronds program began in 2023. If someone ran the event in 23, 24 and 25 then they would W, R and I and will collect G in 2026. If you did the event (any distance qualifies) in 24 and 25 then you have the W and the R and will get the I after the race in 2026.
